My sustained investigation is highlighting how I have overcome my heart condition, but, at the same time, women in society have not overcome their struggles for equality. Thus, I am sympathetic with women in their fight, and my sustained investigation proves how I want to take the lead in the race for equality among the sexes.

Image 1 highlights my childhood living with a congenital heart condition. I wanted to express social awareness of my congenital disorder and social anxiety through the medium of gummy bears. When my friends started curious about my condition, I did not want them to see the condition so seriously. I used gummy bears to express that underneath these simple conversations about my condition there was a real pain.

Image 2 and 3 are dedicated to those who suffered such horrific events: rape, sex trafficking, forced pregnancy, torture, and forced abortion. Image 2 expresses the desire of dreams and hopes of these comfort women before they were ever forced to endure this horrible chapter of history. The white and cleanliness of this piece highlight the innocence of these women who were forced into slavery. In image 3, I used a Camellia flower design which represents comfort women and keeps their memories alive.

Image 4 was born from the #MeToo Movement. I wanted this piece to span the plight of women throughout time. The huge wire ball represents the negative and horrifying and the red strings represent sexual harassment. However, the shoes embody the women, the first women that initiated the #MeToo Movement.
